Lab meeting.

This afternoon around 3:30 pm, the lab folks got an email from Jenny about meeting at 4pm.

"Hi all, I just got word that Phil Needleman would like to speak to us about lab space and equipment for future algae research needs. Sorry this is such short notice. He will be speaking more in depth with Dr. Sayre, but he just wanted to briefly speak to us about our research since algae has been in the forefront of the center lately. Please meet in rooms 60-61 at 4:00 this afternoon.
Thanks for your cooperation.
Jenny"

I was enjoying my tea as usual at the tea time, and saw Jenny kept coming around with drinks and snacks into the Room 60-61. I wondered whether CABS or someone is going to have a meeting soon. Five minutes to 4pm, some of her labmates were coming down from the lab towards the room. I caught up with Zoee:" What is going on?" Zoee said that Dr. Needleman was going to speak to our lab. So I turned around and told the other person:" Oh, I have to go. Our lab is having a meeting." The moment I walked in the room, I saw several boxes and thought it must be very nice that our lab is getting gifts from the center for all the great work in Algae. Quickly, I realized it was a baby shower for me organized by my labmates.

Elisa prepared us for some baby games. The word scramble was really hard, I only got 5 out of 15 right, with 1 cheated by overhearing what Zoee said. The best record was 13. The second game we did are the names for baby from all over the world. The little baby got lots of goodies to add to her baby inventory, a total blast! Little lucky one! Thanks to everyone organizing and participating the shower! Both Mom and Baby have a great time!
